Ydesigns.com
Ydesigns develops and designs ecommerce web sites and is also one of the leading developers of Yahoo! Stores. Ydesigns works with their clients to continually help them go to the next level with search engine optimization, shopping search feeds and ecommerce consultation.

Ydesigns clients are located throughout the world and we needed a secure way to effectively communicate and collaborate with them online. They also needed an efficient system to manage all of their projects simultaneously. Here are some of objectives Ydesigns accomplished with SharePoint:
  • Project Management System
  • Secure Online Client Workspaces
  • Ecommerce KnowledgeBase for Clients
  • Client Surveys and Polls
  • Task Roll up
Ydesigns uses SharePoint as a project management system. As each new client comes aboard a secure "sub-site" is created with just a few mouse clicks. Each site already has the pertinent documents, tasks and project outline. From there the site is used to post updates and announcements, track progress and manage tasks. The ability to "see" where the project is at all times has added an increased level of comfort to their clients.

Ydesigns also adds value to their customers by documenting their knowledge and "lessons learned" in an online KnowledgeBase they call ActiveKnowledge. There the clients can peruse a wealth of information on ecommerce strategy, marketing, search engine optimization, pay per click campaigns... anything and everything related to online commerce. Like most things, if it is successful, it can work for someone else and Ydesigns believes in sharing the wealth.

Ydesigns also benefits from SharePoint Surveys and Polls. Type in the questions, click publish and invite people share their opinion, it's that easy! Says Matthew Ledford, President of ydesigns. "We have been able to quickly take the "pulse" of our clients with SharePoint Surveys."
